What a mix

Reall y nice combinig of the materials. Lots of tweaking in choosing of the right "consistency". I Espeacially like the reflection of the mouth. The orange skin could be a little better. What did you render it with? I myself use vray.

ThinXIII responds:

just the default render in ZBrush. Thanks. :D

Nice Shading

I like the ambience in the image. I just can imaginge a space ship floating slowly through the "air".

onionahoy responds:

Thanks, that sounds like a cool idea actually I might just experiment with that.

Pretty realistic

Nice dirt map you use. It gives the model a realistic touch. What render engine did you use? I myself use vray. What did you made this gear for? Are you modelling a machine?

onionahoy responds:

Thanks it took ages to get it to look right. I used to use blender but after using Cinema 4d for my unity engine experiments I haven't looked back. I'll have to check out vray. A made the gear as good practice using lots of different modelling tools. Well now that you've given me the idea that sounds damn cool to me... hmmm maybe I can make some sort of Rube-Goldberg machine?

Nice balanced colors

This is always a big challenge for me, to get the colors right. In your work you manage this great.

Rutger responds:

Thanks man :3
I need to work a bit more on the drawings themself probably though.

Sweet

So funny, i love this. I would like to play a game with this cat in it. Yeah the japanese have crazy ideas, haven't they? Just the fur texture could be a litle more detailed, the rest is perfect.

Savory responds:

It wasn't the japanese tho, twas some guys from SNL. I could probably get some more hair definition down to the pixel. It's a 512x512 map though... so I'm only going to get so far :P

Nice modelling

Hi there.
You are good in modelling. The faces are quite detailled an realistic. I would suggest you to try out some other render engines. I know, it takes a lot of time to learn to use them, but its worth it. I use vray for example.

J-D-S responds:

I've been using mental ray for my final renders. Most of the renders i have here are just quick wip ones to see the forms.
